Physician Assistant – Certified
Roy obtained his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch, he has a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Georgia. He speaks English and Spanish, enjoys all aspects of family medicine, especially his relationship with patients, pediatrics and office procedures. “I feel really lucky to be able to live here. We have a great team at our Brewster-Jay Avenue clinic and it’s an honor to serve our patients!”
Roy moved to Okanogan in 2011 along with his wife, Amanda Segars-Huffstetler, and their three young sons. Together they have a good time eating at taco trucks, camping, hiking, biking, swimming and floating the local rivers. In the winter, they love skiing at Loup Loup and he volunteers on ski patrol.

Mary “Molly” Downey, PA-C
Physician Assistant – Certified
Molly earned her undergraduate, BA in Science, Technology and Society from the University of Puget Sound. She continued on and graduated with her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University. She is also bilingual in English & Spanish. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking & rafting. “Family medicine at FHC offers a unique opportunity to get to know entire families and watch them grow. I am honored to provide medicine to patients at Family Health Centers, in the beautiful setting of Okanogan County.”
Marc Levanel, Pharm D
Doctor of Pharmacy
Marc received his Pharm D from the University of New Mexico. Special interests include helping patients manage their blood pressure and diabetes medication. He is interested in learning Spanish. He is excited to work with like-minded individuals here at Family Health Centers to provide high quality and affordable care to our community. Marc moved to Okanogan County with his wife and four children to be closer to his parents in British Columbia, and are looking forward to exploring the beauty of Washington State.
Behavioral Health Specialist
Valarie earned her Bachelors in Community Health and Nutrition from Evergreen State College, Olympia, WA. She went on to achieve her Masters in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling from Regent University, Norfolk, VA. She completed her residency at OBHC and Virginia Grainger Elementary School. Her personal interests are hiking, botany, music and gardening. “I have lived in Okanogan County since 1997, drawn by the beauty of the mountains and the kindness of the people. I enjoy working with my community, encouraging health and wellness to its people. I love driving and hiking the backcountry while enjoying the wildflowers, fresh mountain air and cold rivers.”
